Role Overview:

\n

We seek a Regional General Manager within our Network Transport Solution sector working on behalf of our consumer network. You will hold full accountability for several locations within your region and play a key role in the strategic operation, delivering excellence of contracts such as KP, Colgate and Burton Biscuits to name a few! You will lead multiple transport operations, manage change, and drive performance to ensure we meet our high standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nOversee and manage multiple transport operations within your region, ensuring optimal performance across all sites.\nLead and develop Transport Operational teams, with direct reports being General Managers, to foster a high-performing environment.\nStrategically manage and develop the transport network within your region while integrating nationally to optimize costs and unlock synergies.\nAccountable for performance metrics (KPI, Cost, Safety, Service, and People) of the transport operation.\nBuild and maintain key stakeholder relationships, including customers, contractors, trade unions, and suppliers.\nManage change within the network while maintaining service levels and performance standards.\nMonitor and challenge performance levels across all sites to ensure continuous improvement.\nResponsible for the P&L for the region, driving cost efficiency and service excellence.\n\n

What do we need from you?

\n\nProven experience in transport operations management, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.\nExperience of a closed book, multi customer or complex contract transport environment\nA mindset to challenge the status quo and drive for growth\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to manage change effectively while maintaining service levels.\nStrong financial acumen.\nStrong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and continuous improvement.\nLocated within the north west.\n\n
