Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration:\nTo co-ordinate the organizational and administrative functions in all areas of the recreation department. Ensures that all recreation forms and reports are forwarded on time to the relevant hotel offices properly.\nTo plan and implement programs, policies and procedures and standards of performance to ensure that Kempinski international standards are met.\nEnsure implementation and compliance with duties as per job descriptions.\nAssist with the development of new products and   services\nDeliver high quality service to guests\nAdhere to departmental cleaning and maintenance programs\n
Operational\nDirect operations of recreation facilities.\nTo ensure that the various recreation facilities adhere to all company and hotel policies and procedures and minimum standards of performance including LQA.\nManage, train and motivate all personnel reporting to this position.\nProvide and be responsible for the professional delivery of     all recreation information to all hotel guests.\nMaintain knowledge of competitors, including location and service offering.\nInteracts with management of other departments within areas of responsibility and develops solid working relationships with them.\nConducts regular departmental meetings and daily briefings with employees.\nTo monitor service standards in all recreation facilities ensuring that subordinate employees take corrective actions as necessary.\nAdministration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the recreation’s operations.\n\tResponsible for the operations of the Fitness, Kids Club, pools, beach and Spa.\nMakes recommendations to management for modernization of equipment, service methods, service offers and improved guest satisfaction.\nTo compile all employees and operational rosters and ensure compliance with them.\nIs responsible in maintaining the highest possible hygiene in and around the Recreation area especially in areas such as sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and the locker rooms. \nControls and analyses on an ongoing basis, departmental costs to ensure performance against budget. \nMonitors and controls inventories for operating equipments, linen and other supplies to ensure par stocks are maintained and costs are controlled. \n
Employee Handling\nTo have complete understanding of the Hotel’s employee                          \nHandbook and adhere to the regulations contained within. \nTo ensure recreation maintains a positive relationship with all departments in the hotel.\nResponsible for supervising all aspects of employees: recruitment, recognition, disciplinary issues, etc.\nResponsible for the efficient training of all employees in all aspects of their job tasks.\nParticipates in training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards liaising closely with training manager.\nResponsible for all the recreation employees in pertinent emergency procedures.\nTo ensure all employees adhere to all hotel standards.\nTo conduct performance appraisals in a timely manner and in accordance with the established hotel procedures.\nHealth and Safety\n\tEnsure that all employees follow all safety procedures and practices.\nEnsure adherence of the recreation facilities to Emergency procedures and Safety Manual.\nEnsure employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the recreation and hotel policy relating to safety.\nGuest Services\nTo ensure the facilities are in perfect conditions at all times (operation and cleanliness).\nTo ensure guest satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always recreation’s first priority.\nOther Duties\nMOD role during the week\nTo report punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag.\nTo maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards.\nTo provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.\nTo maintain good working relationship with your colleagues and all other departments.\nTo ensure you read the hotel’s employee Handbook, have an understanding of, adhere to the hotel’s rules, regulations and in particular, the policies, the procedures relating to Hygiene, Fire, Health and Safety. \nTo comply with local legislation as required.\nTo respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.\n\tTo be flexible in your job function and perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you.\nTakes inventory of the Recreation Department every 3 month.\n
