CACI is seeking a Subject-Matter Expert RDT&E Systems Engineer to be the advanced lead research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) efforts to support complex strategic mission systems to USSTRATCOM. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure mission success. The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract. 

Responsibilities: 

Engineers and supports operations for Command and Control computing/audio/visual equipment 

Develops requirements for SRR, PDR, and CDR inputs 

Participates in weekly TIM discussions 

Validates communication systems and full platform integration, test procedures, integration, and test preparation for phased platform installation and testing.  

Coordinates with Government Program Office for GFE equipment and testing 

Provides Business Operations (Biz Ops) engineering support for other contractor and agency integration coordination 

Conducts trade studies, engineering analysis, and reviews white papers as required 

Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments 

Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs 

Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others 

 
Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred 

Minimum of 10 years in systems engineering roles, with a focus on RDT&E for defense or strategic systems 

Required 8140 Cert: 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training 

Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, modeling and simulation, and software development life cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with military operations and strategic defense systems is essential 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams 

Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI eligibility

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$99,000 - $217,700
