Job Title: Quality Expert 

Location: Palo Alto, CA 

Work Model: Hybrid work model 

 

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Quality Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location to work at program or unit level or across organizational boundaries with special focus to quality and compliance related topics.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Define test strategy for development programs. Supervise implementation and execution of required test scope and supervise setup and configuration of test landscapes. Create test evaluation reports with responsibility to report a realistic picture as basis for release/deployment decisions. Define, plan, and execute measures to collect quality related feedback from customers and partners. Create and implement concepts to utilize cloud operations facts & figures for quality assessments. Act as a quality related knowledge multiplier and trains quality specialists of lower career Levels. Provide guidance to projects about how to improve quality by evolving quality processes and measures to the next level. Plan and execute development audits. Show technical, business and/or methodological leadership (e.g., drive process or tool improvements). Work in team roles like Quality Program Responsible for development program, Pipeline Quality Responsible, Beta test manager (including collaborating with key customers), Quality Architect, Quality & Compliance Responsible, Quality Ambassador and Multiplier and Audit Responsible.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:  

Designing, implementing and executing test plans that include unit, functional regression system and integration tests;  

Preparing tests (customizing & master data), authoring and executing manual and automated tests; 

Providing subject matter expertise for teams in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods, and tools;  

Database/SQL including Oracle, and MaxDB; 

TCL and TK scripting; 

Netweaver and MII; and 

Requesting landscape install and configuring and integrating software with SAP NetWeaver, MII and ERP.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $202,540 - $344,400. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $247,200 - $420,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
