Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA & Testing Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications, data platform and pipelines. You will be responsible for leading a team of QA Testers focussing on the development and implementation of an automated testing framework specifically designed for validating the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, manual testing, performance testing and automation. This is a highly collaborative team that owns and supports testing some of the most critical applications in the Finance Technology area.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership, vision, and architectural/design direction for the team.
Leads the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution. Works with the Engineering & Testing teams to design, develop, schedule and execute various test cases for ETL processes, data integration, performance testing including load, stress, volume & scalability.Define Performance Testing Objectives and ScopeDefine Manual Testing Objectives and ScopeJob executions using IBM DataStage for ETL ProcessCollaborate with the development team to resolve defects and improve the ETL processesAttending the IM Finance DSU meeting as much as possible.Attending all Test Script Walkthroughs for which HIH QAs are assigned as much as possible.Attending all internal Systems Analyst and Technical Spec Reviews for which HIH QAs are assigned as much as possible.Ensure QA team is delivering work on a timely basis.Engage multiple technical teams on triage.Attends scrum ceremony meetings and design sessionsHandle managed incident calls, perform analysis, identify root cause.Track and report the defects in applications like JIRA and Zephyr.Actively participate in Status reporting and Agile meetings.Building dashboards, configuring alerts and integrating them with different communication channelsShould be able to understand the whole product quickly (across different layers that we have and the knowledge/experience in technologies/tools that we use – frontend, middleware, backend, any cloud experience – preferably AWS and OpenShift, CI/CD, monitoring / alerting – should have good problem solving and analytical skills).Should have experience in incident management, change management, risk management, people management, project managementWork with US QA Team leads on a regular basis.Publish periodic reports / metrics captured from different layersQualifications
Required Skills:
11 to 13 Years’ overall experience in application development, testing or maintenance and around 10yrs of experience in QA Testing leading teams to deliver value.Good understanding of Healthcare Domain.Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC with specific expertise of Software Testing.Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousingTesting experiences in DB systems like Oracle, SQL serverExperience in Toad for Oracle and DB2 ApplicationsExperience in running ETL jobs, monitoring and debugging.Experience with test case design and executionExperience within Agile development environment (Sprint planning, demos and retrospectives, and other sprint ceremonies).Understanding of BI concepts - OLAP vs OLTPBroad knowledge of automated testing and modelling tools.Knowledge of building automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins.Good knowledge of LoadRunner, JMeter, BlazeMeter and other load generation software application.Flexible with timings.Excellent analytical skills and innovative problem-solving ability.Familiarity with Cloud services – AWS, OpenShift or other similar servicesExperience in monitoring tools – Splunk / Dynatrace / NewRelic / any other monitoring toolPossess good communication skills and be a effective team leader.Support continuous improvement processes, analyzing problems and recommending actions for effective resolution.Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Required Experience & Education:
