QA Management Principal SpecialistBusiness EnvironmentWithin Airline IT Offer Engineering / Pricing Optimisation & Distribution (POD), the Airline Distribution Solutions (ADS) group is driving the solutions for airline to propose, sell and service any products through any kind of retailer network: Travel agencies, NDC aggregators… and soon other airlines with Nevio (the new Altea major version). In short, the main commercial entry door to Altea handling “everything but airline website!”
With two flagship products (NDC – “New Distribution Capability” - the industry game changer, driven by IATA and Group Management), we are giving back to the airline the full control on their sales, all the sales: from individual PNR up to XL complex group booking. This was natively designed in offer-based flow, the core concept of Nevio evolution, the most important airline transformation initiative of the decade. This opens the door to very promising evolutions, especially in the field of offer/price differentiation per customer/channels, that will be the airlines priority for the years to come.
On top of developing those very successful products, we of course have a strong footprint in the Nevio program, to strategically drive the evolution of how airlines will lead the distribution of travel product tomorrow.
About the roleIn the field, it means very interesting challenges, both functional and technical:
We orchestrate Altea commercial flows, end to end, giving a very comprehensive view of the airline business and providing exposure across multiple divisions/trains.
We have a wide range of technical activities, from backend (Java/C++/Quarkus) to frontend (Angular) complemented by data modules, all on their way to Azure!
By becoming a pillar of one of the key Amadeus solution suite today, you will shape our future airline product suite!
In the back, you will join the shared service team of the ADX train (transversal group of experts, covering NDC and group management airline IT products) to structure and optimize the quality processes across all the train activities (multi product, multi teams).
You are expected to be force of proposal and transform the Quality processes accordingly. For this, you can count on a group of QA engineers distributed in the SCRUM teams (4 today), a system team for technical aspects and the amigos/management group for support and external impediment management.
Your responsibilities:
Structure/evolve/optimize the transversal QA processes, from initial requirement to steady state production.
Be the main entry point for all transversal quality activities for Amigos, Management and transversal QA organizations
Coach and Upskill QA engineers in the Scrum teams.
Provide support for QA engineers recruitment (interview, recruitment days...)
Manage software promotion and activation process.
Lead QA vision for NDC and group management (technology evolutions, tooling…)
About the ideal candidateMaster's degree in engineering
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience in Airline IT, NDC is a plus
Strong customer focus
Full proficiency in English is mandatory, any other language is a plus
