As a Purchasing Clerk, you’ll play a key role in supporting our operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient purchasing and inventory processes.
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for assisting with the procurement of food, beverage, and general supplies for the hotel, while maintaining proper documentation and inventory control systems. This role ensures compliance with Hyatt standards and helps support smooth daily operations across all departments.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist with the ordering, receiving, and distribution of products for hotel departments in accordance with Hyatt purchasing policies and procedures.
+ Accurately input purchase orders and invoices into procurement systems.
+ Verify accuracy of deliveries and resolve discrepancies with vendors as needed.
+ Maintain organized records of purchases, vendor information, and inventory logs.
+ Support month-end inventory processes and assist with physical inventory counts.
+ Communicate effectively with department leaders to ensure supply needs are met in a timely manner.
+ Maintain a clean and organized receiving and storage area; ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
+ Assist with vendor relations, pricing, and quality control efforts as directed by the Purchasing Manager.

**Qualifications:**
+ Previous purchasing, inventory, or clerical experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn internal purchasing systems.
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
