Project Risk Specialist- Construction and Infrastructure

Job Title: Project Risks Specialist
Location: Riyadh, KSA
Reporting To: Project Director
Employment Type: Full-time

Salary – 30,000- 36,000 SAR + Family Status – Visa, Medical and Air ticket

 

Job Purpose:

To support the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of project risks across major infrastructure and government construction projects. The Project Risks Specialist will play a key role in ensuring risk strategies align with client requirements, regulatory frameworks, and overall project goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific risk management plans, registers, and reporting mechanisms. Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks (technical, financial, environmental, contractual, political, etc.) across project lifecycles. Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments using appropriate tools Support in conducting risk workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders. Monitor and report on the status of risk mitigation strategies and residual risks. Work closely with planning, cost, quality, and HSE teams to ensure integration of risk data into overall project controls. Prepare regular and ad-hoc risk reports and dashboards for senior management and client review. Assist in developing contingency plans and recommend risk transfer strategies (e.g., insurance, contracts). Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and government project risk guidelines (including Vision 2030-related frameworks). Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge management practices to strengthen risk culture.  

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field. Professional certification in risk management preferred Additional qualifications in project management

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in risk management, ideally in infrastructure, construction, or government-funded mega projects. Proven experience working within a PMC or similar consultancy environment in the GCC, preferably KSA. Strong understanding of project risk tools and software (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @RISK, MS Project, or similar). Experience interacting with governmental authorities, clients, and multiple stakeholders.
