Project Procurement Manager

LOCATION:  Ahmedabad        

REPORTS TO: Sr Director, APAC Procurement

DIRECT REPORTS: - None

WORKPLACE TYPE: On site

The Project Procurement Manager is responsible for end to end Project Procurement for the greenfield project.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Procurement Plan – Develop project procurement plan, including strategy, procedure/ approved supplier list along with project engineering team and in line with the overall project requirement.Approved Vendor List – develop the approved vendor list including qualification of new vendors/contractors with the project team engagement and alignment.Sourcing and Procurement - Work closely with the project engineering team and consultants and responsible for end-to-end Project Procurement activities including but not limited to sourcing vendors, qualifications, negotiation to get the best terms and conditions, evaluation, supplier selection, contracts execution and payment as agreed terms. Ensure the procurement activities are compliance with policies, procedures, and strategy.Follow-up and Expediting – Regular review of project schedules and expedite suppliers timely deliverables to meet overall project timelines and within budget.  Reporting the procurement activities and delivery status regularly, weekly and/or monthly, to project teams.  This will include, but not limited to the project payment plan schedules and PSR.Supporting – Support team working and coordinate with other related functions in any issues related to project procurement, including import equipment, customs clearance process, tax privilege with Board of InvestmentSet up India Procurement foundations as the first Procurement team member in the country – SRM, P2P process, direct & indirect procurement, implementing regional & global sourcing strategies.

 

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields.  Preferable in engineering background with basic technical knowledge in Civil. Mechanical and Electrical EngineeringExperience working in a multinational company is preferredMinimum 10 years of working experience in CAPEX & MRO (has managed minimum spend USD 50 mio), project and engineering procurementExperience in food and chemical industry would be an advantage.Knowledge of key terms and conditions in contract review and execution.Excellent communication skills
