Project Management
Provide supportive and empowering leadership of project staff in accordance with the Transformational Development principlesCollaborate with field staff, technical advisors and key stakeholders in the community to determine the right mix of project models and cross-cutting themes, ensuring that the programme activities address the root causes of vulnerability and strengthen the Drivers of Sustainability, with a view to ensuring that improvements in CWB brought about through the programme continue and are further enhanced after World Vision leaves.Adapt the programme design to fit the local context and continually review and adapt it as needs and circumstances change as informed by community engagement and other action learning processes.Design programmes to strengthen gender equality and the empowerment of people with disabilities and disadvantaged minoritiesWork with GAM and technical programme staff to design projects for donors that are based on consultation with local communities, and which promote Transformational Development and Sustainability.Provide leadership, technical and administrative guidance to Project Coordinator, Community Development Officers, M&E and Comms staff.Prepare detailed implementation plan and key milestones based on approved plan, budget and framework agreed with the donor.Oversee monthly activity work plans and budgets within WVTL’s project teamEnsure effective and efficient utilization of program resources through monitoring and tracking expenditures against project planConduct quarterly progress review of project within WVTL and across partner organizationsIdentify project risks and prepare mitigation measuresAddress implementation and operational challenges. Required Professional Experience
At least 5 years of professional work experience, 2 years of which in project coordination or project management.Previous work experience related projects would be highly desirable.Required Education, training, license, registration and certification
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Community/Rural Development Studies, Project Management, or other relevant social science field.Preferred Knowledge and Skills
