MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager will lead the Myanmar Earthquake Response project, ensuring effective and timely delivery of humanitarian assistance to affected populations in Mandalay.The role involves coordinating with local partners, managing project activities across multiple sectors (Protection, WASH, MPCA, NFI), and ensuring alignment with strategic goals and donor requirements.Effective and efficient project execution, meeting all deadlines and targetsStrong collaboration and partnership, ensuring local capacity buildingHigh-quality reporting and adaptive management based on M&E findingsFinancial accountability and optimal resource utilizationAdherence to all guidelines and standardsMinimized project risks and enhanced safety and security

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in humanitarian assistance or disaster response.Proven experience in managing multi-sectoral projects, including Protection, WASH, MPCA, and NFI.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in complex and sensitive environments.Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including local partners, government agencies, and donorsBachelor's degree in any discipline is essentialProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.In-depth knowledge of international humanitarian standards and protocols.Strong skills in scenario planning, strategy development, and project documentation.Excellent communication and writing skills.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and internet.
