Job Description:

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, reporting to the VP of Software Quality, you will work with Engineering leaders around the world, organizing and coordinating strategic initiatives across all NetSuite development locations.  You will need to have strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects in parallel.  You must be able to participate in technical discussions capturing ideas or prioritizing strategic initiatives to meet the needs of the organization.  You need to have excellent tooling skills to facilitate on-line collaboration across time zones.  And you’ll need to have strong communication skills and self-confidence to be able to speak up in meetings to get a discussion back on track, to bring items to closure, to capture next steps/action items, and to make sure people understand what they need to complete before they get together again.

This job requires a deep understanding of software engineering processes, because you will be participating in shaping QA processes, best practices, training, and collaboration across a 2,000+ person engineering team.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related discipline Strong understanding of software development life cycles Valid, relevant experience with project management  Great interpersonal skills to successfully work with peers across the organization Experience organizing and running meetings, and giving presentations Competency in Microsoft and other collaboration applications e.g. Word, Excel, Confluence, Figjam, etc Excellent written and oral communication (English)
