Product Strategy Senior Advisor - Express Scripts Pharmacy - Hybrid

Overview:

The Pharmacy Product Strategy & Development team provides leadership and strategic direction to support the development of new solutions tied to the Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacies. This includes identifying client needs across multiple lines of business (commercial, health plan, Cigna, Medicare), developing concepts, creating & evaluating business cases, and designing new solutions. This team operates in a fast-paced environment with significant opportunities to collaborate with multiple functions and businesses within Express Scripts and Evernorth businesses.

Job Description:

The Product Strategy Senior Advisor will have the opportunity to independently drive product initiatives that grow profitable volume and enhance the customer and client experience with Express Scripts Pharmacies. The Senior Advisor will be responsible for helping to identify new solutions, evaluate their feasibility, and develop business cases. The role will support all aspects of product development, including market assessment, pricing strategy, business and technology requirements, benefit/plan design, care management/service model, and product positioning.

Essential Functions:

Understanding the market by researching market trends, identifying customer demands, defining unmet needs & jobs-to-be-done, and generating & analyzing customer feedbackPartnering with other product teams across Evernorth to build coordinated solutions, working in cross functional teams to explore and enable new product conceptsScoping, sizing, and creating business cases by articulating strategy, identifying levers to monetize solutions, sizing opportunities, and analyzing feasibilityLeveraging reporting tools to extract and analyze formularies, drug lists, clinical data, and financial models, including the Analyst toolPerforming analysis of claims utilization and volume, including margin, trend, indications, drug level market share, channel management, patient behavior, benchmarking, key performance indicators, etc.Translating data into insights by identifying solutions, identifying needs gaps, designing product features, and creating concepts & prototypesCreating visualization of insights, using graphs, charts, reporting and other visualization toolsProject managing initiatives to ensure milestones are hit and solutions are deliverabled on schedule

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience within healthcare / PBM industryBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree or MBA desirableExperience in supply chain, regulated markets (Medicare / Medicaid) preferredUnderstanding of PBM technology systems is a plusExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authorityAbility to break down complex problems into their component partsProficiency in evaluating data and driving action to create additional valueComfort working in ambiguous or new situations, aptitude for taking a structured approach to diagnosing problems, analyzing alternatives, recommending and implementing best solutions
