College & Career Readiness is a key area for Pearson Education Inc. Product Specialist Manager is a key leader within the organization, responsible for driving the success and adoption of our College & Career Readiness product offerings. This role bridges the gap between the product team, sales, marketing, and customer success by ensuring our solutions effectively meet the needs of K–12 educators, administrators, and students. The ideal candidate is both strategically minded and detail-oriented, with a passion for improving education through innovative products and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Specific Responsibilities:

Serve as a subject matter expert on K–12 products, guiding internal and external stakeholders on features, benefits, and best practices. Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to support product positioning, training, and customer engagement efforts. Collaborate with Product Managers to inform product development roadmaps using customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights. Lead a team (or cross-functional working group) of product specialists to deliver consistent messaging, tools, and enablement resources. Develop and deliver product training, sales enablement materials, and support documentation for internal teams. Work with Marketing to ensure product messaging aligns with customer needs and market expectations. Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and market data to help prioritize product enhancements and inform go-to-market strategies. Represent the voice of the customer in internal strategy discussions and advocate for improvements to the user experience. Assist with pre-sales product demonstrations and customer consultations when deep product expertise is required. Stay current on K–12 education trends, policy changes, and technology to ensure products remain competitive and relevant.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated to meet deadlines independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership. Knowledge of education (K-12 public/private/charter schools). Adaptability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Experience managing a team Travel Required 25%

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: 

The minimum full-time salary range is between $125,000 - $135,000.
