Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Product Expert at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for the success, quality, cost management and delivery of a product, product group or complex project in the whole product lifecycle as defined in the portfolio.
Expectations and Tasks:
Drives holistic product vision and product design and ensures all product teams have a comprehensive understanding of it. Develops test cases and/or conducts expert testing and validates planned and implemented scope throughout product lifecycle and ensures delivery of high-quality software. Accepts or rejects sprint results on a Scrum of Scrum level. Ensures creation of product-related non-coded assets in close cooperation with central teams e.g., Release Management, Production, and Governance. Ensures the delivery of a product to implement the solution strategy. Collects & incorporates early feedback from Customers and other relevant stakeholders. Remains cognizant of usable software being available at the end of every sprint. Contributes to the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of processes used in own area. Gain market & customer insight. Analyzes technology trends and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities for SAP. Contributes to business case, develops, and drives a product vision and a product roadmap. Constantly evaluate competitive products on basis of publicly available information to ensure his/her product is on-par or competitive in the current market. Customer roll-in. Conducts interviews, participates in customer events. Ensure product definition: Ensure customer input into all product definitions. Owns and prioritizes product backlog which reflects customer and user needs in order to achieve competitive advantage and increases the value for the customer.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:
QA Testing and methodology, including Automation Development Framework (ADFv2) or Selenium;
Define quality and test strategies for products;
Behavior Driven Design methodology for developing product requirements documents;
SAP SFSF Compensation Module, SFSF Variable Pay, SFSF Reward and Recognition, and platform solutions;
Test Automation, Performance and Load testing, Project Management, and Risk assessment and Contingency Plan;
Agile/Scrum Processes;
Customer tickets triage and escalation management; and
Present product strategy and roadmap to customers, internal and external stakeholders, and solicit feedback to guide future product development and design.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $226,158 - $299,792. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $226,158 - $365,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
