Procurement Manager – Capex, MRO & Utilities

At Unilever, the Procurement of CAPEX, MRO and Utilities plays a pivotal role in our drive to grow our business while making a positive impact on our planet and society. You shall be responsible for the Sourcing Strategy development, implementation, and leading procurement for the country with a responsibility of 3 factories. This role is expected to deliver against Unilever’s Capex, MRO & Utilities strategy related to new technology, innovation and automation that is deployed directly/ indirectly across the value chain from a Procurement standpoint.

The role is expected to enhance the overall ‘cost and service’ delivery of the existing organisation via leveraging Unilever scale, brand, technology, data Volume consolidation, Supply base optimisation and prioritizing higher impact spend areas and best practices.

Main Accountabilities

Sourcing of Capex, MRO & Utilities portfolio in a complex, multi-location and multiple stakeholder environmentBring deep expertise and insights across the value chain and supply base to translate the business requirements into effective future-fit procurement strategiesAbility to lead sourcing of high value complex deals.Negotiation planning and execution ability- Ability to benchmark costs, develop negotiation plans and carry out hard negotiations to get Best value deals for UnileverGood understanding of manufacturing process, emerging tech led solutions.Deep understanding of Procurement processes related to Capex, MRO & Utilities portfolio.Established track record of delivering KPIs under tough working environment/ market conditions.Good knowledge of Supply base for Capex, MRO & Utilities portfolioResilience and Risk Management in Prevailing tough business situationPartnering with Suppliers: Select, manage and motivate suppliers to deliver Value to ULDriving Sustainability, Supplier Diversity and Digitization agenda from Procurement perspectivePortfolio Market intelligence enabling strategic sourcing decision making.Conduct Supplier Capability and Capacity studies enabling continuous supplier evaluation / new supplier selectionLead Supplier relationships and implement Partners with Purpose strategy with critical suppliersEnsure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e. data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, etc.) are all put in placeManage Utilities price forecast, estimate risks and create risks mitigation plans

Requirements:

University degree At least 5 years experience in Procurement Capex, MRO & UtilitiesExperience on large-scale, cross functional projects leadership, change managementSourcing Direct &/or Indirect SpendStakeholder Engagement: Actively represent the packaging procurement department in executive meetings, providing insights and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategies to achieve Unilever’s Sustainability, Social Responsibility, Growth, and Value objectives, particularly through innovative packaging solutions.Partnership Management: Structure and manage key partnerships to meet sustainability goals in coordination with global portfolio teams.Market Intelligence: Collect, analyze, and manage market data to support the business with accurate pricing forecastsInnovation Support: Work closely with Business Unit leadsProcess Optimization: Drive initiatives to reduce complexity, and consolidating suppliers, to improve efficiency.Supply Chain Support: Manage supply chain contingencies and maintain high performance standards.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects and manage strategic relationships that align with Unilever’s business interests.
