**Job Overview**
The Principal Engineer is responsible for driving excellence across product families within our manufacturing operations. The role requires a knowledgable subject matter expert in manufacturing engineering in extrusion process, with a strong focus on optimizing product family processes and ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

**RESPONSABILITIES:**
-Establish and lead the Centre of Excellence for product family manufacturing engineering.
-Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for product family processes.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to product family manufacturing engineering.
-Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes across product families to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
-Identify and implement process improvements and innovations tailored to specific product families.
-Ensure consistency and standardization of manufacturing processes across different product lines.
-Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams on product family processes.
-Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive process improvements.
-Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
-Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of manufacturing teams.
-Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization.
-Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and training materials
-Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on product family initiatives
-Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and support for CoE activities.
-Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to represent the CoE's interests and objectives.
-Stay abreast of the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and methodologies.
-Evaluate and integrate new technologies and innovations into product family processes.
-Ensure all product family processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
-Develop and enforce quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality.
-Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to CoE guidelines and best practices
**REQUIREMENTS:**
-Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
-Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field. (Preferred)
-7 o more years of experience in a similar positions.
-Bilingual
-Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on wire & extrusion processes.
-Proven track record of leading and implementing process improvement initiatives.
-Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
-Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with ERP systems and their role in manufacturing operations.
-Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
-Knowledge of Industry 4.0 standards and practices
