Internship Opportunity
When disasters strike, ensuring children have access to essentials like clean water, food, and shelter is crucial. The Disaster Management (DM) team is dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable populations from physical harm, disease, educational disruption, family separation, trafficking, and exploitation. Our approach spans the entire spectrum of disaster management—from early warning systems and risk reduction to preparedness, emergency response, recovery, and ultimately transition.
The Global Centre - Disaster Management (GC-DM) provides overall leadership to World Vision's disaster management ministry, which encompasses Disaster Risk Reduction and Response. This vital ministry represents approximately 50% of World Vision's overall field programming. Our team is at the forefront of disaster risk reduction and response readiness, focusing on the critical components of disaster management before a disaster unfolds.
