BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
Power Solution engineering team in D&D is responsible for development of innovative power interconnection solution products which are used in the hyperscale computer, AI, Datacenter, Cloud server, and other IT system, including connector and cable assembly.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
As a manager of product development team, you will be responsible for leading engineering organization in performing research and development work according to customer requirement and technology roadmap.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Experience with product development processes, including design, prototyping, and testing. Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge about various phases of product realization and product development Knowledge of state-of-the-art design tools such as 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD), modeling, Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T), electrical & electronic design, and Simulation Knowledge of manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, etc.) Knowledge of material (metal/plastic) properties will be a plus. Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 6sigma, DOE, 8D…) will be a plus.CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 15 years of experience in product development, preferably in the technology industry with a minimum of 3 years in the Cable Assembly or connector related. 5 years or above experience in RD team management, and global collaboration experience is required. Experience with data center technology and connectors/cable assembly is a plus. Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), cost design (DFC), and design for manufacturing (DFM). Capability and experience in presentation on products, solutions, and technologies. COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $162,600 – $243,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
