Corteva Agriscience is seeking a talented and enthusiastic scientist to join the Mode of Action & Bioanalytical Center of Expertise, based at our Indianapolis, IN, Research and Development facilities. The individual will contribute to our goal of developing sustainable Crop Health solutions by investigating and characterizing modes of action of discovery molecules. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing biochemical experiments and assays to test key hypotheses, generating, and analyzing data sets, and interpreting and communicating experimental results. The successful candidate must also be able to work in a team environment, network across scientific disciplines, and clearly communicate to stakeholders.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Expressing and purifying proteins of interest using heterologous expression systems
+ Developing and conducting _in vitro_ biochemical and biophysical assays, including design, validation and interpretation
+ Coordinating laboratory resources to maintain an efficient work process
+ Working with team members to develop and improve protocols
+ Data collection, analysis, management, and quality assurance
+ Following laboratory safety practices to ensure a safe work environment.
+ The selected candidate will serve a 1-year post-doctorate position (with the option to extend).
**What Skills You Need:**
+ Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology or related area
+ Technical knowledge of protein expression, purification, and handling
+ Experience conducting laboratory studies in a Research & Development setting
+ Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
+ Highly motivated with a desire to work in a dynamic laboratory environment
+ Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
+ Ability to partner with team members and stakeholders from various backgrounds
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Track record of developing, implementing, and performing novel or existing biochemical.
