We have a exciting opportunity forPastry Chef/CDP (Full Time)to join our creative culinary brigade and cook up a storm This is an exciting opportunity for a CDP who thrives on creativity and likes to balance both sweet savory sides of the Kitchen.

The Role

Lead the pastry section of the culinary departments with efficiency and flair, ensuring productivity and high standards in line with Hyatt’s brand standards

Work closely with the Executive Chef to design and execute innovative and seasonally inspired pastry menus

Create bespoke desserts and baked goods that delight and surprise, while meeting individual guest dietary needs or requests

Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and consistency across all culinary offerings, especially breakfast period

Monitor pastry inventory, manage stock levels, and assist in controlling costs and waste

Ensure adherence to HACCP standards, and uphold safety and hygiene practices in line with WHS policies and procedures

The Person

Certificate III in Patisserie or Commercial Cookery (with a strong pastry focus)

Experience in a pastry role, ideally within a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant

Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to lead or work within a team

Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, creative mindset
