Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented paralegal to join our N.A. employment legal team. The paralegal will provide day-to-day support to our attorneys on employment law related matters and projects along with related daily administrative duties. A track record of efficient project management, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and ability to balance multiple tasks is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys with a broad scope of employment law matters including, but not limited to, compensation and benefits, employment contracts, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, discrimination and harassment complaints, workplace safety, audits, and policies. Provide litigation support, including coordinating tasks between internal and external partners, handling discovery requests, and conducting in-house review and organization of documents. Draft and manage document preservation notices. Communicate with outside counsel representing the company to manage case and project activities. Gather and organize relevant documents and assist with witness interviews. Respond to subpoenas, requests for employment records and other data requests. Coordinate the company’s response to QDROs. Conduct basic legal research. Support outside counsel engagement, including creating purchase orders and statements of work and managing vendor invoices and assisting with budget development and tracking. A variety of administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing employment law team files and templates, maintaining trackers and spreadsheets, proofreading policy and manual drafts, sending docusigns for execution, and other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Education:  BA and paralegal certification

 

Experience:

2+ years of paralegal experience supporting an employment law function in an in-house legal department or law firm.

 

Skills:

Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment and taking ownership of projects. Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management. Excellent project management skills. Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to support multiple legal professionals and effectively prioritize and manage work. Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Highest standards of integrity, ethics and behavior.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 59,000-130,200 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
