Job Description:

Recruitment & Onboarding 10%          

Review all job descriptions to ensure that they are appropriate for the grade and consistent across similar roles by sector and locationTo facilitate and coordinate recruitment and selection process according to WV rules and procedures.Develop and implement a comprehensive induction process for new employees and for their management and support during probation and through their employmentIn line with the WVI Talent Management Strategy and collaboration with the P&C Director, design and initiate retention and succession plans that ensure the continuous availability of internal candidates to have the potential to fill vacancies within the supervisory and management grades.Ensure that all new hires are properly inducted and have access to WVI policies and procedures. Support directors in orienting new employees.

Staff administration & System 10%   

Coordinate and facilitate Human Resource Information System (Workday) and ensure availability of data for decision making Ensure that all staff information are properly kept, updated and confidentiality is maintained.Check regularly staff files to ensure that the following are well recorded: monthly statistical reports, staff complement, staff turnover, performance record, learning and trainings certificateArrange Exit Interviews for staff that resign and advise line management on the exit interview the outcome.

Performance Management & Staff Development 40%            

Centralize and compile training needs expressed during annual performance reviews;Prepare a draft annual training plan for the entire organization;Support in the implementation of the annual training plan, its monitoring and evaluation as well as the proposal of programs to improve performance deficiencies;Maintain and update data related to the annual training plan;Participate in the evaluation of training received by staff;Perform all duties related to the position at the request of the supervisor.Coordinate the annual staffperformance evaluation processTrains Managers and staff on performance managementMonitors goals set by different sectorsAssists managers and supervisors in measuring performance.Ensure staff appraisal are carried out in a timely mannerIdentify training needs and ensure that appropriate training and development activities are timely implemented.Ensure each staff has an approved job description in his file.Act as the lead national champion of WVI's professional development initiatives, including face-to-face and online learning opportunities

4               Staff Wellbeing 10%   

Provide technical support on staff welfareRecommend to P&C Department any need on staff movement in term of staff well-being.

5               Legal issues 20%            

Liaise with local Legal Counsel and legal Advisor on matters pertaining to any employee-employer relationship that will have legal ramifications to WV CAR.

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

Minimum Qualification required:

Master Degree in Human Resources, Legal studies, Public Administration or related field.Have at least three (4) years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources Management or Personnel Administration, preferably within an international NGO;Have good writing skills in French and English;Speak and understand French and English fluently;Have a sense of initiative and anticipation;Have a sense of discretion and active listening skills; Know how to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines by working simultaneously on several activities;Have a deep and sincere commitment to the protection and defense of children and the fight against abuse and exploitation; Have a perfect knowledge of Microsoft Office and its various applications as well as the Internet;Knowledge of Labour relationsGood planning and organizational skillsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staffKnow and master at least one HRM software;Be honest and honest;
