M.Sc. or PhD. in Physics, Telecommunication, or similar, with a few years of industry experience.
Fundamental understanding of fiber optics for telecommunications. Component level and/or on system level.
Experience from work in HW/Opto laboratory with test instruments like BERT, OSA, High speed oscilloscopes.
Experience from test automation for lab application using Python, Matlab or similar

Our Hardware team in Stockholm, Sweden, is looking for an Opto Engineer. This position will be on-site with focus on labwork.
As an Opto Engineer you may:
Participate as opto resource in different development projects.
Characterize optical performance on pluggable transceivers
Work with advanced optical technologies like xQAM, Coherent systems, ROADMs, EDFA.
Write with clarity detailed test plans, and test reports.
Work with pre-studies on new technologies or special use-cases.
Support your colleagues and share knowledge with them.
Work closely with cross functional product development teams in software, mechanical, and test software.
