The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity exists for a experienced senior commercial professional looking for success- based career progression to join our Molecular Diagnostics division as a National Enterprise Account Manager, Health Systems and GPO’s reporting to the National Enterprise Director. In this remote national position, you will forge deep and trusted relationships with our largest customers at the most senior levels. The successful candidate will excel in coordinating cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Training, Sales/Marketing Operations, and Finance/Contracting & Pricing, without direct authority for our Molecular Diagnostics portfolio of products.

What You’ll Work On

Drive profitable growth by collaborating with the USO to create and execute the Enterprise Financial and Strategic Business Plans.

Lead cross-divisional efforts to improve AMD and Abbott’s success in Enterprise Account Management with Health Systems and GPO’s.

Achieve or exceed the US Enterprise annual financial plans and ROI objectives.

Provide leadership and coordination of US Enterprise resources to develop and implement business plans, policies and practices.

Establish and build key stakeholder relationships inside and outside the customers’ laboratory and wider health system, leveraging them to drive growth.

Provide end-to-end diagnostics solutions to Health Systems and GPO’s with a focus on retention, penetration, and growth to generate profitable and sustainable activity that exceeds customers’ expectations.

Coordinate an internal cross-functional team to execute a strategic account plan for each enterprise customer; manage activities across the entire customer & healthcare network to maximize growth and customer outcomes.

Responsible for overall strategic account management planning, including uncovering a large complex organization's long-term strategic plan and converting this to a winning solution for the customer; oversee detailed account planning and sales forecasting; negotiate contracts and all pricing resulting in long-term commitments.

Strategic Planning involves gathering customer insights and analyzing external competitive trends.

Business Performance/Financial Management includes planning and forecasting.

Sales focuses on account planning and identifying critical success factors for strategic accounts.

Finance/Contracting & Pricing encompasses managing contracts and agreements, as well as conducting financial analysis.

Provide organizational leadership, commercial development of teams and individuals through coaching and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.

7+ years’ experience in manager-level sales, finance, and strategic account leadership in Diagnostics or Medical Device industry.

Experience working with large Health Systems and GPOs.

Cross-functional team leadership experience.

Ability to travel up to 70% nationally.

Powerful customer communicator at senior levels, able to develop customer business cases and value propositions.

Proven track record in delivering revenue targets in a complex, solution-selling environment, preferably with major accounts.

Experience in setting budgets and forecasting.

Experience in negotiating directly with all levels of customer management including CEO, CFO, Procurement & Department Managers.

Successful record of operating at a senior level in a commercial organization & strong team approach.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, Life sciences, engineering or Post-graduate MBA or equivalent.

Ability to examine business environment and develop/execute in response to market opportunities.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Strong Presentation and demonstration skills.

Strong computer skills.

Working knowledge of the diagnostics market including trends and issues related to strategic account management.

Broad knowledge of general laboratory practices.

The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
