What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Swiss Mobility & Immigration team as a
Mobility & Immigration Specialist. In this advisory and hands-on role, you will lead immigration and mobility efforts for BCG Switzerland together with your colleague. You will manage complex permit processes, advise on cross-border and international mobility, ensure regulatory compliance, and act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.
You will be instrumental in shaping our ability to build global expert teams and enable seamless international collaboration for consulting projects in Switzerland and beyond.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
On top of your daily business of operating and transacting Immigration processes you cover the following areas of responsibility:
Program and Process Leadership
Take end-to-end ownership of work and residence permit processes for Switzerland, including short-term project permits, long-term secondments, business traveler, and permanent or temporary transfers.Act as subject matter expert and sparring partner on complex immigration and mobility topics.Lead continuous development of related policies and operational workflows in collaboration with BCG Centers of Expertise and external vendors.Immigration & Mobility Advisory
Advise internal stakeholders (employees, HR partners, managers) on Swiss and cross-border immigration topics.Manage interactions with Swiss public authorities and legal bodies.Compliance & Risk Mitigation
Monitor and implement updates in immigration laws and global mobility regulations.Ensure full compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks.Oversee documentation and ensure audit-readiness.Training & Enablement
Develop and deliver training sessions and resource materials for HR teams and employees.Support stakeholder enablement through clear, proactive communication.Reporting & Analytics
Track permit volumes, lead times, and renewal cycles.Provide regular reporting to management and support capacity planning.Collaboration & Representation
Work closely with Swiss and international HR, staffing, and legal teams.Cultivate partnerships with local offices (labor, economy, migration).Act as primary liaison with external immigration providers.Deputy Responsibility
Act as deputy for the Swiss Mobility Lead and support regional mobility requests.Change & Evolution
As our HR operating models continue to evolve, so will your role. In addition to your core responsibilities in mobility and immigration, you will actively support and collaborate on broader HR topics throughout the employee journey. Working closely with the Swiss HR Operations team, you’ll contribute to initiatives that reflect the changing needs of our workforce and organization.What You'll Bring
Academic degree in HR, law, international business, or a related field.3+ years of experience in immigration, mobility, or international HR in a multinational context.In-depth knowledge of Swiss work/residence permit processes and labor law.Understanding of international and EU immigration compliance.Experience advising senior stakeholders and managing complex immigration cases.Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong project management skills.Excellent written and spoken German and English (C1 level); French / Italian is an advantage.High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of Workday, Trello, or Concur is a plus.Who You'll Work With
You’ll be a key member of our Swiss Mobility & Immigration and Swiss HR Operations teams, working closely with the CE Mobility & Immigration Director and the SUI HR Operations Senior Manager. You will collaborate with HR, staffing, legal teams, and external providers in Switzerland and across EMESA. Your role will also involve frequent interaction with Swiss immigration offices and legal authorities.
