Job Description
You will form part of RMM within the Mass Foundation Cluster which is one of the largest customer-facing business segments in Old Mutual. Our primary goal is to facilitate access to financial solutions for our customers and to keep pace with their changing needs. Our target market is the low and emerging-middle income segment.This role provides ongoing support to delivering the strategy and business plans, monitors key initiatives against milestones and targets.
Responsibilities:
Horizon Scanning
Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Strategic Analysis
Interpret the strategic need and identify solution recommendations to strategic challenges at a business unit level.
Analyze financial and operational data, market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to support strategic decision making within the business unit.
Strategic Planning
Work within established strategic planning systems to achieve specific goals within area of responsibility.
Business Performance Metrics
Control specific segments of the organization's business performance metrics, ensuring strategic alignment with financial goals and objectives.
Policy Development and Implementation
Help develop procedures for an area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
Insights and Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
Information and Business Advice
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
Business Case
Manage the delivery of feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business cases.
Data Collection and Analysis
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Economic Research
Work within established research systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated part of an economic research program.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
Exposure to project coordination / management is an advantage.
Key skills: Presentations, report writing, analytical, problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential.
