Job Description

The Change Consultant Specialist is responsible for the effective delivery of business change management activities across projects and initiatives.

Recruitment:

NQF Level 7 (Degree, Advanced Diploma) in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.

3-5 years experience in Change Management or Analyst roles. 

Exposure to projects.

Preferably within Financial Services, Consulting, or Corporate environments. 

Exposure to change management.

Key Skills/Systems Expertise

Understanding: Stakeholder Identification.

Engagement & Communication: Impact Analysis, Change Planning, Internal Communications, Workshop Planning

Working with data: Data analysis and reporting. Understanding key business metrics and measuring adoption.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.

Basic knowledge of change frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter, Lean Change).

Understanding of business processes.

Responsible for the effective delivery of business change management activities across projects and initiatives. Ensures that the desired business outcomes are achieved and that the relevant stakeholders are ready and prepared for the change.

ResponsibilitiesChange Management

Develop and deliver projects or a workstream within a change management initiative with guidance from senior colleagues.

Internal Communications

Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of internal communications with guidance from senior colleagues.

Stakeholder Management

Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.

Project Risk and Issue Management

Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns.

Feasibility Studies

Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.

Horizon Scanning

Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.

Project Framework Design

Draft elements of project- and program-management frameworks and tools as directed, ensuring compliance with specified design principles.

Project Scope Definition

Manage the delivery of research, workshops, and other activities to support the specification and agreement of project deliverables.

Continuous Improvement

Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.

Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
