Metrology Technician

As a Metrology Technician, you will support the calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

Perform routine calibration, qualification, and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation.Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for analytical instruments to minimize downtime.Assist with the installation and validation of new equipment and software in collaboration with senior staff.Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of instruments, consumables, and spare parts.Support equipment monitoring systems and respond to alerts, including after-hours coverage as needed.Collaborate with vendors, IT, and internal teams to ensure equipment functionality and compliance.Train new employees on standard equipment usage and maintenance procedures.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support quality and safety programs.

What we are looking for:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 6 months of experience in a laboratory environment.Hands-on experience with basic lab measuring and test equipment.Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:

Proficiency in troubleshooting laboratory equipment and interpreting technical documentation.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with Windows-based systems.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $103,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
