Job Overview:

The IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum, & Integration (RAI) department works to create opportunities for refugees and other vulnerable migrants to survive and thrive in the U.S. and Europe through a diverse portfolio of programs aimed at five core outcomes: Health, Safety, Economic Wellbeing, Education and Power. As part of its strategy, the IRC is focused on becoming an outcome-driven, evidence-based organization with a commitment to data-driven programming. The Measurement Intern will work to support the Research, Analysis, and Learning Unit’s measurement team. In this role, the intern will work on current and ongoing data analysis projects and support IRC’s Outcomes & Evidence Framework across the RAI network. She/he will work directly under the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director for Measurement & Data Analysis.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Assist with coding and analyzing qualitative data using DedooseHelp develop coding frameworks and maintain data organizationContribute to synthesizing findings into memos, reports, or presentationsAttend team meetings and contribute to discussions around emerging insightsContribute to developing and maintaining training resources, newsletters, and announcementsAssist with other related administrative duties as assigned

Gain practical experience in conducting qualitative analysisEnhance skills in data collection, data cleaning, and knowledge managementStrengthen knowledge management, communication, and program management skills

Internship Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in social sciences, public health, communications, education, or a related fieldFamiliarity with qualitative research methodsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervisionExcellent, demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel, Airtable, PPT/Canva, and WordExcellent written and communication skills and attention to detailExperience with qualitative software (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose)
