In the context of Architecture & Specification team in Microwave Business Unit, we are offering the opportunity for an internship of 6 months in our laboratory in Vimercate, exploiting an experience in an international, multicultural and innovative R&D environment.
The objective of the internship is to learn, develop and research on Precision Time Protocol (PTP) defined in IEEE 1588 standard. The PTP is widely used in Telecommunication Networks for Network Synchronization. PTP performance requirements are becoming stricter to meet the synchronization needs of 5G and 6G base stations.
In addition, we offer the possibility to write a thesis on the subjects:
• Current Proprietary PTP Time and Frequency recovery Algorithm analysis;
• PTP Algorithm modelling;
• Improve model and algorithm to align with latest standards, enhancing precision and other aspects.
You have/are:
Bachelor's Degree and you are currently studying for your Master's degreeExperience with Matlab/Simulink/Python Experience with C codingKnowledge of Network Time and Frequency Synchronization algorithmsGood spoken and written EnglishWillingness to work with laboratory instrumentation and hardware accelerator platformsAble to work in an autonomous way and to collaborate within a team as well
