The Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) focuses on a growing portfolio of high-quality, affordable, branded generic medicines that have been successfully treating patients for many years. We are currently seeking applications for an internship opportunity within the EPD Headquarters (HQ) Marketing team in Basel.

EPD is preparing for the launch of the Gx version of Semaglutide Injections for Diabetes, with the first expected launch by the end of 2026. We need to build a comprehensive Launch Plan for Semaglutide and are looking for candidates who are willing to go above and beyond their current roles to work closely with Global Marketing and key launch markets.

Core Internship Responsibilities: As an intern in the EPD HQ Marketing team, you will be exposed to various aspects of the launch process. The successful launch of a new product is critical for the future growth of EPD. Semaglutide is the top-selling molecule globally, and its success will be pivotal for EPD's future.

Key Learning:

Building a Global Launch Plan for Semaglutide Injections.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing the Global Launch Plan:

Research and gather data on market trends and competitor strategies for Semaglutide.

Draft and refine the launch plan, incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams.

Create detailed timelines and milestones for the launch activities.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:

Schedule and participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to gather input and insights.

Document and track action items and follow-ups from these meetings.

Ensure alignment and coordination between different departments.

Partnership Development:

Identify potential partners within other Abbott divisions.

Assist in negotiating and formalizing partnership agreements.

Maintain ongoing communication with partners to ensure successful collaboration.

Multi-Country Exposure:

Conduct market analysis for key launch markets.

Assist in developing country-specific strategies and plans.

Coordinate with local teams to understand market needs and regulatory requirements.

Global Marketing Experience:

Support the global marketing team in various initiatives and campaigns.

Analyze marketing data and prepare reports to measure campaign effectiveness.

Contribute to the development of marketing materials and presentations.

Project Management:

Track progress of the launch plan and ensure deadlines are met.

Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.

Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect and analyze data related to the launch and market performance.

Design and generate reports to present findings and recommendations.

Use data to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Communicate effectively through presentations, emails, and meetings.

Provide clear and concise updates on project status and outcomes.

About You:

Currently studying for an MBA at an internationally recognized school.

1-3 years of corporate experience preferred.

Relevant project management experience.

Fluent in English.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix structure.

Long-term interest in the healthcare sector.

Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Strong analytical and project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with international teams.

Proficiency in data analysis and report design.
