The Global Customer References & Advocacy’s mission is to identify, inspire, and engage customers throughout their journey and empower them to share their relevant, inspiring SAP experiences. This is an exciting role that combines a strategic customer-facing experience, customer marketing and sales support. The GCR&A Reference Manager supports SAP’s Market Unit, part <region>, and serves as the primary reference resource, aligning with MU Sales and other customer-facing teams to facilitate references for sales opportunities as well as recruitment and cultivation of key customer references.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide customer reference support for Indian MU with a focus on impact and quality.
Serve as trusted advisor by providing timely references to accelerate pipeline and maximize positive exposure of SAP customer successes.
Partner with regional solution lead to determine customer reference pipeline. Identify and document customer references to support sales requirements. Build reference customer relationships to leverage those relationships to deliver quality sales support.
Ensure a high level of field engagement by developing relationships with Sales and Sales Leadership in India MU.
Leverage scalable reference processes (such as Customer Conversations, Customer Connect Centers, customer reference slides) to broaden use of our best references.
Nominate great customer stories for marketing asset creation, for media and analyst relations activities, SAP Innovation Awards, other key amplification programs; Facilitate as necessary in local language.
Use the RefHub tool to document high-quality customer reference data.
Understand relevant demand generation campaigns for India MU, and align customer reference stories.
Collaborate with reference team colleagues globally and participate in global reference projects for continuous development and standardization of best practices.
Candidates must have the ability to:
Thrive in a customer-facing role - communicate with customer contacts to recruit into the reference program and develop reference stories.
Translate business objectives and customer success into high-impact customer references that help drive demand and revenue.
Work with SAP leadership in India MU to align on business needs.
Participate in a collaborative team environment and engage across multiple SAP teams both locally and globally.
Skills / Experience:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Superb presentations and client-facing skills
Strong project and program management skills
Experience with data & analytical skills a plus.
5-7 years as an individual contributor for a tech company's customer advocacy program a plus.
Prior experience working with peer reference communities and customers (references) in B2B enterprise software and services.
