ROLE DETAILS

Role overview

Reporting to the Head of Marketing – Insurance & Asset Management, this role offers a unique opportunity to act as a truly focused Business Partner to the BUs, sitting within the Marketing Department. The successful candidate will deliver insightful analysis to answer key business questions that directly influence and deliver the businesses short- and long-term marketing strategy. The role holder will also support the line manager in development and implementation of Product Marketing and Research Strategies in line with the overall Business Unit’s Plans.

Key Result Areas

Business Support

Develop marketing strategies for the business in respect to BU yearly respective business plans.Developing & executing marketing campaigns (ATL & BTL) in support of BU objectivesSupporting sales and lead generation activitiesWorking closely with various teams in enhancing the marketing strategies developed. These include but are not limited to Communications, PR, Digital, PR, Responsible Business and Brand Management.Monitor adherence to controls within the organization especially in risk monitoring & management as well as expense management. Enable the attainment of synergies across the various units through the development of activities that have cross-function application and adaptation to enable achievement of Integrated Financial Services.Support properties management by driving tenant communication, signage updates, and branding visibility within the Tower, ensuring consistent and engaging stakeholder messaging.Lead coordination of high-impact publicity events such as lighting partnerships and New Year’s Eve fireworks to maximise PR value.

Marketing Strategy

Directly partner the marketing team at all levels to support the development of appropriate marketing strategies.Support both financially and analytically towards their goals and priorities of the business.Work with the marketing leadership team to build financial business cases to support large scale investment.Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business.Evaluate and report actual versus planned outcomes of marketing strategies and plans.Manage the marketing budgeting for the department and for individual campaigns.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

Required Experience

At least 4 years’ experience in a relevant marketing role in a dynamic work environment. If less experience, must demonstrate the ability to up skill quickly.

Educational Requirement

A degree in Marketing, Communication or Business-related field from a recognized university. A relevant professional qualification e.g. CIM will be an added advantage.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft clear and compelling messagesStrong interpersonal skills and the personal qualities of a self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.Development of Marketing &Communication campaigns& initiativesExperience in event management & executionProactive and results oriented with a focus on finding solutions and driving outcomes.

Implements all through-the-line marketing activities. Implements marketing plans for selected market segments. Provides a consulting function, serving as a resource and concept generator to the marketing managers in order to implement the marketing strategy and plan developed by the seniors.

ResponsibilitiesBrand Positioning

Ensure the application of brand guidelines and brand templates and inform the organization on the importance of brand alignment and positioning.

Sales Promotion

Develop and implement standard sales promotion programs to boost sales and customer loyalty, following the guidelines.

Marketing Communications

Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing communications campaigns across all media to support the business plan and increase sales.

Events Planning and Delivery

Plan and deliver smaller events to ensure that the events are produced according to schedule, within budget, and meet all deadlines, and work closely with, and coordinate activities of, all other parties involved in the design, development, sales, marketing, and delivery of the events.

Content Creation

Collate and summarize information for use in developing content and write first drafts of straightforward content for print or websites.

Information and Business Advice

Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.

Project Management

Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.

Multiagency Work

Communicate and coordinate with other professional teams (including some that are over organizational boundaries) to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.

Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
