Job Description

The Marketing Analyst, Marketing Services role will report to the Director, Client Marketing and will be responsible for supporting the executing holistic marketing plans to drive growth while strengthening the Visa brand. This role will support the development and expansion of our Marketing Consulting Practice (Visa Marketing Services) selling and executing engagements that help Visa’s clients (Issuers, Merchants, Acquirers, Fintechs) strengthen their business through market research, media strategy, performance-based marketing and sponsorships. This position will collaborate with internal Visa teams such as: Product, Sales, Research, Legal and Marketing teams from other regions. The ideal candidate should be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving and highly matrixed environment. Candidate should have a results and detail-oriented, flexible, and have a “can do”, positive attitude. Additionally, you possess a strong track record in working collaboratively with internal team members, stakeholders and external clients. We are looking for a determined self-starter who is a creative problem solver, deals with complex challenges and ambiguity effectively and will contribute to the strong and inclusive team culture we have created.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact and marketing expert for Canada Client Marketing on behalf of the clients’ business. Nurture and grow client relationship, establishing Canada Client Marketing as preferred marketing partner. Develop and manage annual marketing plans including revenue targets, budget, and monthly forecasting with the NA Marketing Services team.  Participate in client meetings, championing marketing services in shaping client program strategy.  Support sell-in and implementation of marketing services including research and insights, marketing strategy, creative development, execution, analysis, and sponsorships to help advance client marketing initiatives and business objectives. Collaborate across client, agency partners and Visa stakeholders (account executives, digital partnerships, product, sponsorships, operations, legal and compliance as well as NA Client Marketing Delivery) to ideate and launch innovative, high-impact marketing campaigns. Ideate, scope, pitch, negotiate, contract, and launch innovative marketing campaigns.   Support the measurement, analysis, and reporting of marketing program performance and its impact on business results, where applicable.  

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)0 - 4 years progressively responsible business experience, with majority in marketing, or marketing consulting experience in the financial services or paymentsSuccessful in operating in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organizationsStrong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient on all Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Previous work experience in payments, marketing advertising or consulting rolesTeam player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are metSelf-motivated and proactive in asking questions / proposing solutionsStrong process orientation: able to create processes from scratch and able to identify and drive continuous improvementsStrong written and verbal communication skills: create visually clear, concise, and insightful work product and are comfortable presenting to senior leadersA relationship builder who earns the trust and rapport of partners at multiple levelsAbility to thrive in high pressure situations and a fast paced and matrixed environment while being level-headed under pressureComfortable managing multiple projects and quick to adapt to shifting prioritiesAbility and initiative to self-manage when necessary and ability to multitask to support multiple efforts as neededExperience running meetings with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance and process correctness of projects to adhere to Visa key controls and brand standards
