Marine Operations Lead (Marine Engineering) - UAE - Salary AED 20k -25K

Our client, one of the leading names in Marine Engineering & Service industry is looking to hire a Marine Operations Lead based in UAE.

Budget: AED 20K – 25K + Benefits

Purpose of job: As a Marine Operations Lead, he will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the day-to-day operations of our activities. he will be responsible for ensuring safety rules, efficiency, and cost-effective execution of Company projects, while adhering to industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of operations To support the General Manager in sustaining leading standards of marine services and to assist in ensuring that the functions of the Authority are properly carried out. Support the General Manager on operational matters as and when required and play a full role as a member of the Management Team. Assist in regularly reviewing the level of operational demand to ensure sufficient staffing levels in the interests of safety and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between marine, logistics, and technical departments. Maintain awareness of legal and technical developments affecting the Authority’s operations locally, nationally, and internationally. Follow up performance management KPIs to monitor operational success against objectives. Ensure that the requirements of the Authority’s health and safety policy and all other relevant policies and procedures are adhered to by employees working within the departments. Ensuring all planned maintenance, operational and other records are properly maintained. The provision of proactive communication and management intervention including direction and communication to staff and monitoring of operational procedures. Monitor and manage operational budgets to ensure financial targets are met. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard personnel during work vessels. Provide regular reporting on operational performance to senior management. Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential crises or unforeseen events.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with marine technology, navigation systems, and vessel operations.

• Proven experience in an operational management role.

• Extensive knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code, legal and regulatory duties of the Statutory Harbour Authority function.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including vessel crews, regulatory authorities, and emergency responders.

Health & Safety: Understand and carry out duties in a manner which is safe for yourself, colleagues and public in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work, in order to minimise the risk of injury/accident.

A degree or graduation in relevant field, MS Office experience.
