(https://twitter.com/TEConnectivity) Click here for to learn more about theTE Connectivity HBCU Career Pathways Program (https://careers.te.com/content/TE-Connectivity-HBCU-Career-Pathways-Program/?locale=en\_US&previewLink=true&referrerSave=false) **Segment, Business Unit or Corporate Group** This position will be part of theAPPLIANCES BUSINESS UNIT--In Appliances our purpose is to make our homes safer, more sustainable, energy efficient and smart in a world where every connection truly counts. **Work Location** The location for this position isMiddletown, PA (Street Address:3101 FULLING MILL Rd, MIDDLETOWN, PA). **Job Overview** At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future.Your role as an Internin theAppliancesBusiness Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by: + Assisting engineers as they create, modify, build, and test products and processes. + Assisting in the inspection of products and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement. + Utilizing computer-aided design and drafting equipment to develop new manufacturing tools and fixtures. + Collaborating with various engineering functions to implement new manufacturing technologies that provide improved process and tolerance control. + Supporting plant driven cost savings opportunities to maintain our competitive advantage in the market. **Responsibilities** + Support the fabrication of prototype components utilizing latest 3D printing technologies on our campus and manufacturing sites. + Develop assembly processes, from manual to fully automated, to support production ramp and assembly of new products being developed within the CLS Business Unit. + Conduct detailed print reviews of new product designs and provide design for manufacturability product design recommendations to the product development team to facilitate assembly. + Optimize assembly machine designs utilizing your BSME skill set and working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools and related software such as ANSYS. + Specify new assembly equipment and work with global suppliers to design, build and condition new assembly machines. Qualify for launch onsite at our local Appliance’s factory. + Develop an understanding of our core manufacturing competencies of stamping, molding, assembly, and plating. Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with: • Onboarding & Orientation • Professional Development Workshops • Networking Opportunities • Operations Experience • Executive Exposure **Timeline** TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May.
