ROLE POSITIONING & OBJECTIVES
This role supports Industrial Relations, driving employee engagement and career development for shopfloor employees, in compliance with labour laws and agreements with the internal Trade Union.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
Managing Employee Relations & ComplianceEnsure accurate documentation & upkeep for all transactions in the employee lifecycleDrive effective dialogue and partner with the Collective Bargaining Agents to implement changes in the shopfloorAdhere by the Labor Law and all internal agreements to ensure compliant work processesPerform timely system actions for all employee moves for accurate data reflectionTalent Management & DevelopmentUtilize organization-wide engagements, events & communication channels to connect and deliver one unified talent brand messagePromote and support employees throughout for international assignments Support Shopfloor Talent Injection via internal recruitment platform Design Shopfloor Performance processes and tools processes to support talent growth Support learning & development through targeted training nominations and skill evaluations Organizational EffectivenessDeploy employee listening strategies and design effective action plans using culture diagnostics & surveysRationalize Headcount via workload distribution understanding for all areas of work and the impact of HC strategy on total employment costsDrive cultural transformation across both factories – interacting directly with shopfloor employees to instil progressive practices & IWS way of workPEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Work with other members in the Industrial Relations team to support Employee Welfare, Facilities & ServicesDevelop a working relationship with other managers in the Operations department to deploy all comms & changes in collaboration with them.Drive negotiations with the Collective Bargaining Agent for employee welfare activitiesESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Business graduate with at least 3-5 years’ experienceExperience working with senior leaders to align HR strategy with business goalsHRBP experience in a plant or multi-site manufacturing settingCollaborated with plant managers and operational leaders on HR strategyHandling complex employee relations issuesSupporting organizational development and workforce planningLeading or supporting HR initiatives (e.g., diversity & inclusion, performance management)Involvement in talent management and succession planningExperience with data-driven HR decision-makingWE ARE BAT
