Working here you’ll be part of a family that works together to make a difference and enhance the lives of millions worldwide. **What You’ll Work On** + The primary function of the Manufacturing Engineer is to manage and lead preventative and predictive maintenance programs in such a manner as to promote a safe, efficient operation in which quality product is manufactured. + Manage capital projects from conception to completion, using the request for capital expenditure (RCE) process. The position also directly impacts product quality in the production operations. + Review Production Metrics, evaluate root cause and suggest appropriate actions to reduce downtimes on production lines. + Provide a centralized, strategic look across equipment performance (downtime), material/component failure analysis, and changeovers. + Facilitate root cause analysis for equipment downtime. **You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.** **Required Qualifications** + **Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or any associated field-related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 2-3 years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.** + Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience. + Good communication skills, both written and verbal required. + Strong technical and leadership skills required _.
