The Open Banking Business Intelligence team is responsible for Analytics, Automation, and innovative development of Analytics services to address the evolving performance needs of all of Mastercard’s Open Banking customer segments. The OB BI team in P&E focuses on defining the strategic direction for Metrics and Key Performance Indicators to enable the successful implementation of our services with the end-customer. The team is responsible for looking across all the products/services across OB and driving Quality and Performance by democratizing access to Data and Analytics.
The candidate for this position will focus on leading the support for Funnel analytics, UX metrics, combined with API Data to analyze the journey of our OB Consumers.
Role
We are looking for a leader who:
•\tManages and mentors a team of analysts to analyze large volumes of transaction and product data to generate insights and actionable recommendations to drive business growth.
•\tLeads the Team in their efforts to scale by identifying data-driven opportunities and developing relevant supporting materials.
•\tCollects and synthesizes feedback from clients, development, product, and sales teams for new solutions or product enhancements.
•\tApplies knowledge of metrics, measurements, and benchmarking to complex and demanding solutions.
•\tOversees data mining, model development, time series analysis, and forecasting.
•\tCreates highly predictive models using segmentation and regression techniques to drive improvements across operational performance, revenue, quality.
•\tEnsures the standardization of data-driven insights and advanced analytics solutions using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, and MS Office suite.
•\tDevelops effective working relationships with global teams and business partners.
•\tProactively seeks new knowledge and structures project work to facilitate the capture of Intellectual Capital with minimal oversight.
All about You
•\tExtensive experience in the Payments/Financial Services Industry or depth of knowledge in a consulting field
•\tProven experience in hands-on business analysis, modeling, segmentation, and data mining using large volumes of granular data to deliver analytical solutions.
•\tStrong skills in Tableau, Alteryx, Python, MS-Excel, and PowerPoint.
•\tPlatforms/Environments: Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Python.
•\tExposure to collecting and/or working with data including standardizing, summarizing, offering initial observations, and highlighting inconsistencies.
•\tStrong understanding of the application of analytical methods and data visualization to support business decisions.
•\tAbility to understand complex operational systems and analytics/business intelligence tools for the delivery of information products and analytical offerings to a large, global user base.
•\tAble to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
•\tAbility to easily move between business, analytical, and technical teams and articulate solution requirements for each group.
•\tExcellent written and oral communication skills.
•\tThe Manager, Data Engineering will support Mastercard Open Banking products through client data ingestion, processing, and coordination. A Manager, Data Engineering will:
o\tLead relationships with Mastercard Operations and Technology teams to facilitate the analytics tasks and diffusion of insights.
o\tAct as an expert resource within the team across subjects, including Mastercard’s Data Warehouse, data compliance, source control, data validation, and testing.
o\tDevelop repeatable and scalable code that processes client data in an automated and efficient manner to ensure data availability in the platform is as real-time as possible.
o\tLead the automation capabilities of the team. Implement techniques to optimize and routinize repeatable tasks for Test & Learn data setup.
o\tApply outstanding communication skills, project management skills, and reliability in promptly reacting to incoming requests with an estimated timeline and any needed clarifications, and meeting expressed timelines.
o\tMentor junior team members in terms of career, skillset, and team contributions.
o\tSet an example for and foster a high-performance collaborative workplace.
o\tComply with and uphold all Mastercard internal policies and external regulations.
Minimum job requirements:
•\tBachelor’s degree in an engineering or other quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research). Master’s degree preferred.
•\tExcellent English communication (oral/written) skills.
•\tExpertise and hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies, preferably with any of the following, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, the SSIS Stack and .NET.
•\tProficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Powershell, Python, Bash, Korn Shell, AWK scripting, C Programming, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL).
•\tProven self-motivated leader with experience working in teams spread across several geographies.
•\tDemonstrated excellent skills in the ability to innovate, think critically, and disaggregate problems. Able to provide oversight, validation, and quality control to own and team work product.
•\tSkilled at balancing multiple projects and differing project priorities.
•\tFlexible to work with global offices across several time zones.
