As the leader of an engineering department, you will lead a team of managers and product developers that design and optimize connectors to ensure the power supply for the electric vehicles of tomorrow. You will drive solutions for a leading European OEM to meet future requirements for current-carrying capacity, mechanical robustness, and automation capability, helping to drive the advancement of electromobility. We are looking for open-minded, flexible, and communicative employees. You will work in a highly dynamic, diverse, and interconnected environment, closely collaborating with your customer.
In this role, it is crucial to have both solid technical knowledge and strong leadership and management skills to ensure the successful development and market launch of innovative connector solutions.
Your profile:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field Minimum 10 years of manager experience in leading and developing a team of Product Development Engineers. Profound experience in product development of electromechanical components in the automotive industry Proficiency in working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. High level of personal responsibility, flexibility and work in a dynamic project environment and under time pressure Determine best course of action to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems Good commercial understanding Strong understanding of products, technical processes, operations and logistics Experience in the areas of injection molding, stamping, bending and material technology as well as connection technology, manufacturing technology and automated assembly Capability of creative, analytical and structured thinking with the ability to execute on priorities Capability to build highly motivated teams Excellent leadership skills Excellent relationship and communication skills for working in an international environment, including very good English language skills
