YOUR TASKS\n

Reporting to the Senior Director of Maintenance and Engineering, the Maintenance Operations Control Manager is responsible for the overall management of the Maintenance Operations Control Centre. They ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice, to guarantee the safety of flight operations. The job holder will provide continuous support for flight operations in a 24/7 working environment.

\n\nActively controls and maintains the airworthiness of aircraft and the maintenance and defect control functions.\nDirect the activities of the Maintenance Operation Control Centre (MOC) to ensure technical delays, failures, repetitive defects, deferred maintenance, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled defects are completed, resolved or scheduled in a timely manner\nResponsible for managing, motivating and actively supporting the continuous improvement of staff\nOversees the availability of adequate equipment and facilities for the smooth operation of the MOC\nAnalyse, adjust and/or improve processes/procedures and instructions to ensure optimal on-time performance and cost for fleet availability and realise network operations schedule\nCommunicate all AOGs and delay events, coordinate with the FOC and maintenance operations to avoid schedule disruptions and maximise dispatch reliability\nCoordinate closely with the Flight Operation Control Centre and the DHL network to ensure continuous improvement of the flight plan\nMonitor and create department specific key performance indicators (KPI's) to meet or exceed targets for on time completion of backlogged complaints\nLiaise with relevant internal and external departments to provide all information required to ensure a consistently high level of service quality\nEnsure communication with EAT MX Planning regarding planned and unplanned maintenance and servicing schedules\nDevelop strategies and innovative concepts to meet the latest industry standards and process improvements to improve fleet availability and reliability of daily flight operations\nIdentify and report safety issues/discrepancies to the Senior Director Maintenance & Engineering that could lead to significant operational disruptions. Ensure that all tasks are completed with the highest level of safety\n\nYOUR PROFILE\n\nCompleted studies and several years of relevant professional experience or many years of relevant professional experience in aviation\nExtensive operational and technical background, including knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning\nStrong problem solving and decision making skills (operational and tactical).\nExcellent leadership and management skills\nStrong leadership and team building, mentoring and coaching skills combined with the ability to facilitate teamwork\nDetermination and assertiveness to provide flexible, creative solutions in a complex environment\nAbility to delegate work, give clear instructions and manage workflows efficiently\nAirline or MRO experience at management level\nConfident, self-motivated, responsible and able to delegate and work under intense time pressure\nAbility to plan and prioritise the completion of tasks and processes to ensure effective time management\nAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment\nComprehensive knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework and other statutory requirements \nGood IT knowledge of applications and systems relevant to maintenance activities and airline scheduling\nExcellent communication skills in written and spoken English and German\nGood understanding of financial and commercial processes\n\n
