The team is working with biophysical characterisation and scientific investigations about the biophysical properties of our products, and the interface where process can impact product. They are responsible for a diverse range of biophysical analyses to understand the physical impact on the products regarding physical stability, quality and performance during production, and for development of new methods and solutions for product and process assessment.
The team work closely together with our biophysical laboratory.
The position
As Manager, you will lead an international team of 15 dedicated specialists and scientists of varying seniority. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting the direction for the team, ensuring that prioritisation and strategies are executed to maintain an overview and prioritise deliverables at all times.
Collaborating with the management team to set the strategy and direction for the department.
Developing employees and the organisation to improve the way we work in a project organisation.
Engaging in high stakeholder collaboration across Novo Nordisk, working closely with project managers, CMC, and Production sites.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
An academic background in sciences, engineering, pharmacy, or similar.
A solid leadership background within product development, analysis, or pharmaceutical production support.
Experience leading employees of different levels of seniority and navigating a complex, cross-functional stakeholder landscape.
A sound project management toolbox or experience in working in a matrix organisation.
Fluency in English.
With a strategic mindset, you can work independently to drive decisions and processes forward and thrive in a high-paced and dynamic workday, prioritising and inspiring others. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and keep your eyes on the ball in collaboration with stakeholders. You take great pride in developing your team by coaching, working with culture, and implementing a best practice toolbox.
About the department
Our department, Product & Process Interfaces, is part of Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology. Situated in Bagsværd, Denmark, the department consists of approximately 50 employees divided into 5 teams. We are experts in setting the direction for all interactions between product and components in our global aseptic manufacturing network, both for new and marketed products. Our competencies include biophysical characterisation, single-use systems, and product compatibility, supported by laboratories. We are dedicated to ensuring the quality of our products and the safety of our patients. We share best practices, learnings, and support each other, fostering a relaxed tone and striving for a great working environment where we can develop our competencies.
