The Solutions Architect is a key partner to Mastercard’s Account managers, Business Developers, products sales leads and Customer Delivery units, while helping build the strategy and “tell the story” to the client, provides deep financial industry solutioning design expertise in the interaction with Client’s Operations, IT and business’ teams during the period of “pre-sale and post-sale/contracting stages”, ensuring relevancy and driving differentiation across all segments resulting in better relationships, market share and revenue.
This position supports the execution of Mastercard’s strategy by working with complex prospects and customers and designing an executable solution that alleviates their pain points addresses business and technical requirements, and it is responsible for defining the best alternatives on how our products could work for them.

Role & Key Responsibilities Description
•\tCollaborate with account teams to identify customer needs and opportunities; recommend needs-based solutions in coordination with Products, Services and Marketing.
•\tDevelope and quantify value proposition for integrated, customized solutions across products / services.
•\tIterate with Frontline at different stages (e.g., value proposition creation, proposal development) to ensure solution meets client-specific needs.
•\tBridge gaps between Frontline sales team and product/solution expertise.
•\tBridge gaps between business team and product/technical teams within the client in order to identify issues and restrictions.
•\tUnderstand client development roadmap and influence implementation decisions in line with best practices.
•\tEnsure solution interaction is well defined across client’s involved-areas, processes and operations including IT.
•\tAble to architect integrated solutions by combining MasterCard’s products and services in ways that meet the customer’s key strategic needs.
•\tAble to architect business solutions by combining financial industry trends, client´s context and strategy, and Mastercard’s practices.
•\tDiagram and describe customer internal functional and operational flows and produce well defined solution and strategy architecture deliverables.
•\tShare best practices with solution architects community.
All about You
•\tMore than 4 years' experience in a sales support roles, implementation, onboarding specialist or any combination of roles working with financial institutions on designing, training and support of solution services.
•\tAbility to engage quickly with customers, demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
•\tStrong written and verbal communication skills, especially in an technology executive environment.
•\tGood knowledge of functional and general technology ecosystem of Banks and Financial Institutions (Functional, processes and high-level Tech Stack).
•\tDeep knowledge of mapping solutions architectures, including functional processes.
•\tDeep Knowledge on payment processes and key areas and operational requirements implied.
•\tGood understanding of Mastercard products and services.
•\tDeep knowledge of types of architecture in terms of solution integration (middle layer), For example, service oriented architecture (SOA), event oriented architectures, etc.
•\tAbility to understand in depth, analyze, and select current and emerging technologies that are pertinent to the issuers, acquirers and merchants.
•\tAbility to address solution design issues raised by the client during pre-sale or post-sale, with regional and global product teams.
•\tBe curious about competitive offerings and industry trends.
•\tAbility to quickly identify and recommend practical guidance during customer sessions.
•\tFull English and Spanish skills required.
