Job DescriptionAbout North America Product & Solutions
We are looking for a Design Lead, who is passionate about using design to drive successful product incubations and launches in North America. In this role, you'll be a core member of our regional Solution Design team, working alongside a team of product managers and researchers to bring new and early-stage products to life the North America market.
Your design expertise will help inform key decisions throughout the product development process, ensuring that Visa is designing products that users want. This role will work across key strategic product lines within Visa such as digital, e-commerce, risk and identity, BNPL, and more.
Essential Functions
Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and user-friendly designs that are used to accelerate the speed and qualify of products incubations in North AmericaCreate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design toolsIn partnership with research colleagues, conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design conceptsPartner with cross-functional internal teams such as client-facing staff, legal, pricing, strategy as key stakeholders in the design processStay up to date with design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and keep Visa at the forefront of digital innovationSupport the North America Product business as required, including but not limited to executive presentations, client briefing center activations, and RFPsAct as a design evangelist within the North America Product organizationPresent design concepts and solutions to stakeholders at various levels of the organizationThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
-5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Design, Psychology, Sociology or related field. Advanced degree (MS/MFA) preferred
- Relevant experience in UX, design strategy, marketing activation design, interaction design or visual and content design
- Experience in creating user experience maps, service blueprints, wireframes, polished user interface design, rapid prototyping, and presentations
- Must be results-oriented and have the ability to work independently, identifying when and where feedback will be valuable and incremental
- Innate desire to share credit and support one’s colleagues, putting the success of the team and the company ahead of personal gain
- Excellent cross-functional partnership skills and ability to lead product conversations with insights
- Knowledge of and experience with Visa products a plus
- Strong fluency in digital design software including Figma, FigJam, Sketch and Adobe products
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 200,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
