As Manager of Product & Portfolio Strategy you will manage and drive the product and portfolio management of all Food Texture Solutions, which is Ingredion’s Global Texture Solution (GTS) biggest line of product. The GTS reporting segment is ~$2.4 billion in net sales.

  

As part of a global team, this role contributes to the realization of Ingredion Winning Aspiration to be the customer-preferred texturizing and healthful solutions supplier and thought leader through our broad portfolio, extensive customer insight and market-leading cost-in-use position that addresses consumer expectations spanning affordability, premiumization and/or clean label requirements.

This role report to the Senior Director, Global Product Portfolio Corn and PLM Excellence, TS Food

 

What you will do (Responsibilities):

Propose, develop and deliver business cases for short & medium-long term value creating opportunities, e.g., investments for growth opportunities, new applications, portfolio expansions, new value propositions, etc.Support and drive Ingredion approach and strategy for clean label texturizers with input from other stakeholders.Lead global OSA starch strategy, inclusive of manufacturing, innovation and commercial strategiesGlobal leader for effective implementation of clean label solutions value enhancement tools into each regionDrive the business based on regular portfolio performance analysis: monitor and steer profitability and manage portfolio lifecycle.Drive 5 years strategic plan of the portfolio: identify long term demand trends and build business case for asset investments.Lead the execution of critical projects and product commercialization strategies across geographics and categories.Working collaboratively with the Pricing Centers of Excellence (COE), define and monitor targeted profit margins of the product lines under responsibility vis-à-vis value propositions, strategic considerations and market position - ensuring global profitability view.Interpret the competitive and go-to-market intelligence as it relates to specific product portfolios, providing recommendations on product line rationalization, harmonization, and retirementGlobal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on portfolio: elaborate Value Propositions as support of Marketing Communication and Pricing strategies.Support product allocation at constrained assets – working with the Product Line Managers (PLM) and Supply Chain.

What you will bring (Experience and knowledge):

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering or equivalent, or Business Degree.Significant food or chemical industry experience with strong business and financial acumenStrong background in business development. Capable of understanding customers’ needs and ability to capture subsequent value through solutions.Ability to develop and execute business strategies for product lines and portfolio.Experience influencing in a global matrixed organizationFlexibility to travel regionally and / or globally approximately 15-25% of time.English fluency, both written and spoken.

Pay Range:

$119,520.00-$159,360.00 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
