Where you'll work:

Our Rothschild, WI location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition division and is responsible for our biopharmaceutical needs for Kerry customers and brands. This site is one of two that works with specialized lactose protein within the Kerry organization! People may not realize we're more than just great taste when it comes to food and beverage products - we truly are committed to nutrition and sciences as well!

 

Shift –  Primary day shift however the Maintenance Supervisor does supervise employees who work afternoon and night shifts, thus needs to ensure that they are connecting with them on a regular basis as well

Food industry knowledge required.

5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Key responsibilities

Under the direction of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations. Responsible for site asset care and process optimization.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime / inefficient operational issues Ensure that all manufacturing/facility systems are properly resourced and that all resources are efficiently utilized. Manage maintenance department costs. Ensure that appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained. Manage the buildings and grounds such that good manufacturing practices (GMP) are adhered to Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment. Collaborate directly with Human Resources/Ask HR to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved. Initiate cost saving measures. Provide leadership in implementing/maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues. Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting. Effectively communicate results and action plans to appropriate employees and managers. Qualifications and skills

Key competencies:

•  Preventive Maintenance programs

•  CMMS, SAP experience strongly preferred

•  GMP

•  Budget tracking, reporting and control

•  Lean / Continuous Improvement a plus.

 

Education/Qualifications:

•  Degree in Industrial Management or other technical discipline strongly preferred. Consideration will be given to equivalent training and experience.

 

Experience:

•  Food industry knowledge required.

•  5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required

•  3+ years Supervisory / Management experience strongly preferred

•  Experience implementing/improving Preventative Maintenance programs

•  Strong computer application skills, network, and PC business application software

•  Strong mechanical and electrical skills

   SAP or other CMMS skills are a strong plus

•  Basic financial skills and understanding

•  Experience with formal Asset Reliability programs a strong plus, especially Predictive Maintenance
