As an essential part of the Manufacturing Engineering team at TE Connectivity, your contributions in equipment installations, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance directly impact the success of the Minnesota Metals Team (Medical Subcomponents). Your technical expertise ensures that machinery and systems function efficiently, reducing downtime and increasing overall productivity. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Developing and Implementing Maintenance Procedures:** Establishing and refining maintenance strategies, procedures, and techniques to support safe, reliable, and highly efficient plant operations. + **Equipment Repairs and Troubleshooting:** Diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures, executing repairs, and implementing solutions to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance. + **Preventative Maintenance:** Performing routine inspections, calibrations, and maintenance on machinery to prevent unexpected failures and extend the lifespan of critical equipment. + **Inventory Management:** Maintaining accurate inventory levels of equipment parts and conducting routine stockroom cycle counts to ensure timely availability of necessary components. + **Technical Support:** Providing expert technical guidance to the maintenance department and engineering teams, assisting in complex troubleshooting and resolution of equipment-related challenges. + **Documentation & Compliance:** Completing all work orders, repair logs, and technical reports with precise documentation to accurately reflect performed maintenance activities and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. + **Training and Development:** Sharing knowledge and training personnel in areas of expertise to enhance team capabilities and maintain high standards of equipment operation and maintenance. + **Safety and Compliance:** Adhering to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, while working on machinery or within facilities, ensuring a secure work environment for all personnel. This position involves access to information regulated under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Due to these stringent regulations, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the seamless operation of TE Connectivity’s high-precision manufacturing environment, ensuring that our facilities and equipment meet the highest industry standards. **What your background should look like:** + **8-10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.** + **Familiarity with the National Electrical Code; Electrical Contractor’s License preferred.** + **5+ years’ experience in maintenance roles involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical repair, and motor control systems.** + **1+ years’ experience in HVAC and refrigeration (as applicable to the assigned work area).** + **Blueprint reading skills required, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; experience with non-U.S. manufacturer blueprints preferred.** + **Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic symbols and nomenclature.** + **Proficiency with measurement and testing tools, including micrometers, oscilloscopes, amp meters, gauges, rulers (metric and standard), and shop equipment (drill press, milling machine, welding).** + **PLC programming experience preferred.** + **Solid math skills (required for electrical wiring, including decimals and percentages).** + **Ability to read and write in English and effectively prioritize tasks.** + **Must be proficient in English.** + **Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S.** **Competencies** Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork **ABOUT TE CONNECTIVITY** TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
