About the role
As a Logistics Lead, you will oversee outsourced and contracted logistics activities for Diversey at our 50,000 m² warehouse site in Springvale, ensuring seamless operations across ANZ.
Leading a team of five, you will lead from the front, fostering a positive culture, which focuses on reliability, efficiency, compliance and customer satisfaction.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday – Friday, 6 AM start, 38-hour week.
Key responsibilities:
Support and train team members in warehousing, dispatch, and logistics.
Champion continuous improvements in operations.
Closely monitor stock levels, optimising inventory and eliminating shortages.
Oversee third-party local and international freight companies, managing lead times, cost control, KPI adherence, and proof of delivery.
Develop quick solutions for delivery challenges, balancing speed and budget constraints.
Control expenditure across freight charges, labour and warehouse supplies.
Ensure compliance with regulations and licensing requirements.
About you
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Hands-on leadership, which inspires team collaboration.
A proactive attitude, be ready to jump on a forklift and help the team when needed. You will hold the appropriate LF ticket to drive a Counterbalance and High Reach forklift, or be willing to undergo training to obtain one.
Proven experience in warehousing and logistics, preferably handling chemicals (dangerous goods) and transport.
Unwavering commitment to health and safety.
A calm demeanour under pressure, effectively managing conflicting demands.
Good MS Office suite skills.
Experience using SAP (SCM module) highly advantageous or similar supply chain software.
