BU Director LLP South & West EU
Job Purpose
• Responsible for the delivery and growth of the Lead Logistics Provider services (LLP) for multiple account operations with specific accountability for service delivery whilst maximizing revenue, profit and growth across the European operations of the customer.
• Define and implement the strategy, through the IBP process, of the LLP Accounts under his / her scope to grow this important product offering for DHL Supply Chain with both existing and new Customers.
• Develop and maintain succession and personal development plans to retain and attract high calibre individuals to support the growth of the LLP product across Europe
• Ensure the LLP accounts under his / her scope are managed in line with corporate, ethical and legal frameworks delivering a zero tolerance culture across all operations with regard to Health and Safety.
• Delivery of agreed customer cost down challenges to maximise account profitability through the gainshare commercial mechanisms.

• Manage positive customer relationships and deliver growth targets through proactive account management & operational leadership for new business opportunities
• Develop and maintain succession and personal development plans for the management team
• Reduce DHL's exposure to risk through well planned and successfully delivered operational start ups
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues alike to ensure all targets are met, creating a culture of continuous improvement and managing the right Key Performance measures
• Support customer logistics savings through continual improvement and efficiency.
• Ensure the LLP Accounts under his / her scope are managed in line with corporate, ethical and legal frameworks.
• Ensure effective communication mechanisms exist within team and with all stakeholders
• Analyse the effectiveness of the strategic plan against tactical operational deployment and cost implications
• Play a lead role in business development, supporting new growth opportunities, ensuring early operational involvement and leading project management for new business
• Accountable for LLP operational results within the country and leads operational disciplines which coordinate and control strategic activities, initiatives and subjects across the country with direct impact on overall results and/or high business risk potential.
• Support the development of new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results
• Oversees and monitors, all operational aspects of logistics service delivery and performance for the line of business on the country level
• Support and encourage the proper installation, functioning and adjustment of all material infrastructure (buildings, transportation devices, IT, technology, etc.) needed to deliver logistics products and services
• Steers the efficient coordination of human resources and logistics infrastructure to deliver profitable logistics services and products while guaranteeing for the safety of people, data and goods
• Coordinates the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other resources
• Analyzes and approves major operational investments in the country that best meet the Southern EU LLP needs
• Oversees the opening or closing of facilities and evaluates operational aspects of mergers and acquisitions so that these activities are completed on time, within budget and with minimal disruption to the organization's day-to-day operations
• Defines operational service and quality targets and ensures their achievement for the line of business on the global level

• Analyzes complex issues and modifies working methods in own work area
• Implements modification within own authority which directly influences the way the line of business is operating and making money in the country
Customers & Stakeholders
• Reaches agreement with others in and occasionally outside the organisation to accept complete proposals and programs where there may be little interest in cooperating or participating
• Debates, negotiates and stipulates critical contracts, targets and objectives where concepts and ideas need to be sold to others
Requirement for the job
• European / Global Supply Chain Leadership Experience
• Senior Leadership role
• Major change and implementation management experience
• > 8 years of experience
• Manages and leads teams through management experience across several areas within the operations function
• Managing Pan European / Global Operations
• Cultural awareness/International experience
• Ability to manage remotely through a dispersed team
• Educated to University Degree level
• English Language Fluent (written and spoken)
